Former President Donald Trump has stirred the digital asset space with his latest NFT series, “The America First Collection”, marking his fourth venture into this market. This new release introduces a distinctive feature: real-world rewards for buyers.
New NFT Collection Unveiled
The “America First Collection” includes 50 animated portraits celebrating Trump’s career, featuring unique scenarios such as holding Bitcoin, wearing boxing gloves and signing bills. Some NFTs even depict Trump in a Captain America-inspired outfit.
According to Bloomberg, each NFT starts at $99. Buyers who purchase five NFTs will receive a pair of Trump’s “Never Surrender” sneakers, first showcased at the “Sneaker Con” event in February. A set of nine NFTs earns two pairs of these sneakers.
Investors in 15 NFTs will receive a physical card containing a fragment of the suit Trump wore during a presidential debate in June, dubbed the knockout suit. For those purchasing 75 NFTs, an invitation to dine with Trump at his Jupiter, Florida, club awaits.
In a video unveiling the collection, Trump playfully referred to himself as the crypto president, urging potential buyers not to miss out.
Previous NFT Success and Crypto Endorsement
Bill Zanker, who collaborated with Trump on the NFT releases, highlighted the rapid sell-outs of previous collections. Trump’s engagement with the crypto industry gained traction following a dinner with previous NFT buyers in May and his support for Bitcoin mining initiatives and opposition to a central bank digital currency (CBDC) are well noted.
Trump has even suggested creating a Bitcoin reserve to help reduce the $35 trillion national debt. Despite a general slowdown in NFT sales, Trump’s inaugural NFT collection sold out successfully, a trend that continues with this latest release.
As of the latest update, Bitcoin is trading at $62,000, showing stability between this level and $61,700 after dropping from the $65,000 peak reached on Sunday.
